Living the Lake Lifestyle at Royalview

God has truly blessed our lives.

Where we live, our lifestyle, everything. It has all been changed, and turned around for the better. We couldn’t be happier or more grateful for all that God has done in our lives, and how he’s elevated our lives, and brought us to this beautiful place that we now call home.

It is so amazing to sit out in our front yard and view the lake from our garden.

We are beginning new traditions together here. One of our very first is sitting outside and talking about our day as we enjoy the beautiful lake view.

Not to mention, enjoying all the very pretty flowers that are in bloom.

We are now also blessed with daily visits from Bumble Bees, Dragonflies, and Butterflies who are enjoying all the gorgeous blooms.

It’s very quiet and peaceful here. We can hear the March winds blowing through all the trees, and see the dancing of the water as we sit and gaze.

Timber! Tree and Stump Removal Day at Royalview

These guys are brave!

Hey everyone! Before landscaping can begin, there were 2 pine trees and 8 stumps that had to be removed from our property.

We had one dead pine, and one who’s roots had been chopped during construction of this home, and was located at a slant on the edge of a hill, right next to the house, so that meant danger up the road.

As for the stumps, we had a total of 8, with one that was very large right in the middle of the back yard.

Isn’t that a beauty?

But these guys took care of it right away. They were like an army.

There were guys working the back, and the front at the same time. I believe it only took them about 2 hours to complete everything.

We’ve had tree removal work done in the past, at our former home, and have never seen anyone work this fast or efficiently before. They were amazing.

They cleaned up everything when they left. You wouldn’t know they had been here, except for just a bit of stump dust in the back from that very large stump.

Willie and I both highly recommend this company (not sponsored, just spreading the good word). New Way Tree Service. newwaytrees@gmail.com

We’ll certainly call them if we ever need this type of service again. For sure.

Till next time, stay safe, and follow your joy! God is truly good!

Aerial View from Across the Lake, to Royalview

Good day friends!

Today’s post is a bird’s eye view from (literally) across the lake, to Royalview.

These photos were captured prior to us purchasing Royalview. They were on our home’s listing and really brought joy to our hearts, to see the area from this vantage point.

And speaking of “bird’s eye view”, we have seen a couple of eagles that must live here in the area. We look forward to getting to know about all the wildlife here. When we first moved in we could hear coyotes howling, and did see one on the road one evening. That was fun. We of course do have squirrels and birds. We’ve seen a few ducks on the lake, and there is a very friendly neighborhood cat that was our first new “neighbor” to pay us a visit. He is known by our other neighbors and everyone seems to take care of him. We do not know what his name is, but we’re calling him Carlton.

We’ll be back soon with moving in updates and pics. We’ve been busy this week with contractors coming by to put in bids for things that need to be done on the outside. There will be power washers out tomorrow. We’re really looking forward to the outside getting cleaned up. Will post some before/after pics. It’s sure to be a big transformation.

Till then, take care and stay joyful!

Hello, and Welcome to Across the Lake, to Royalview

Hello everyone! So thankful to be here!

My name is Johanna. My husband, Willie, and I just made a huge change (and move) in our lives. We uprooted ourselves from our hometown and home of 31 years, and moved to a (new to us) small Texas town, in which we have purchased our new home, that we’re lovingly calling, Royalview.

We have been on a soul-searching and across-Texas journey for the past 2 years, longing to be a part of a smaller community, and to be in an area that still possesses a good amount of God’s natural beauty that we can enjoy right outside our own home.

We are both still pinching ourselves to believe the wonderful blessing that we have received in finding Royalview, and now being able to call her our home. Royalview is a 4 year old custom built home that sits on a hilltop, overlooking a beautiful lake.

We invite you to join us, in this new leg of our journey, as we get moved in (official move in date was December 18, 2024), get things fixed up, decorated (inside and out), and also as we get familiar with our new surroundings here, and around our new hometown.

Willie and I are in our early 60’s. Well, Willie is. I will be joining the 60’s club here in January. We have been married for 41 years, and are very excited to be embarking on this adventure together.

Introducing, Royalview:

We are loving the hilltop view of the lake.

View from our front door steps.

View from our driveway.

We will be sharing a lot more photos of Royalview in upcoming posts, sharing the inside of our home, as well as our backyard area. There are a lot of fun projects coming up, so we hope you’ll come along for all the excitement.

Sincerely,

Johanna and Willie
